Writing has been a part of Jim’s professional life since graduating from Michigan State University. He began as a nighttime disc jockey in commercial radio, then worked as a broadcast journalist at WKAR-AM-FM, a marketing and communications staffer with the State of Michigan, and a consultant in the application of technology in the library and education fields. In his so-called “spare time,” he’s written four screenplays, while pursuing interests such as photography, music, travel, and historic preservation. Jim joined Writing at the Ledges in 2011. As of this moment, he is not a member of Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, or other social media sites. He and his wife, Kim, live a quiet life in DeWitt.
